Guy that went to our church when I was a kid worked for SCL and rode the caboose.
Dad took me to the yard one day when he rode in and got tour of the train. Hooked ever since.

I grew up on the Penn Central main line in Ohio outside Cincinnati. They had boring engine in that time period.

The railroad station was gone by the time we moved to Maud. The general store was located where the station was. The railroad had been relocated to the east to move the railroad away from some local creeks.
