Bit of an issue there.

Sometimes, if the "over" was small, shops made a rail extension device.

I made one for my HO scale stuff.

Holds one axle.

Not gonna work on the above.
Please elaborate with more detail. I'm not a train person, but I like them.

Do you mean that a 4-6-6-4 is longer than that track is made to hold ?

When the Pennsy leased Santa Fe 2-10-4's in 1956, huge metal extensions were fastened to the turntable track to lift the end of those immense tenders.

That's what I made for my HO stuff as I only had to lift one wheel.
The pic above is clearly a bigger issue.
