Trying to locate where everything should go in the railyard. Once that gets done I'll detail things around them, dirt, bushes and trees. At that point I thicken the dirt around the buildings to reveal tire tracks around the entire work area. I turned an old train car into a parts shed. The pink foam made a good foundation for it.

I made a concrete impound for rock, main line ballast and rail yard ballast. It started out perfect, but I'm learning that's nothing in life is always perfect. It ended up looking like it's been hit a few times over the years. It will be in the middle with a light pole behind it. Through all this, I've learned to see the world as it really is. I'm trying anyway!
