So I got back last night and today around 6:30pm UPS drop off the dash pieces I have been waiting for to finish the dash.....So I wasted no time and got it installed.

If your wondering, the dash was assembled several weeks ago...At that time there was a color discrepancy on a couple pieces and got redone....So first let me go through what I did weeks ago..

The first piece to deal with was the dash harness. The original had the infamous fusible link burnout and was straight wired. The first few pics show this. I had a super nice original non rallye dash harness so that was completely gone through and wrapped. A NOS fuse block and bulkhead connector was used and a pn sticker from ECS.. Two different tapes are used on the dash harness and I got them from Frank Badalson. I take a bad of zip ties as I am removing the old tape I place them all over to retain the original routing....

This is the original speaker from the car....Even though the date doesn't coincide with the build date...The dash was never removed from the car nor parts off the dash so it is what it is...The speaker was sent out and restored....

This is who I used:

The frame is gloss black, the screws are phosphate and I used rope seal for the gasket...The dash clips and speed nuts were done by TA..

The next thing I install is the dash pad. Next is the vents...DO not forget to instal the speaker stud clips or you will remove the vents again...Then goes in the speaker....If you ever wonder why the radios have that small rectangular pad on them....It was there to see p the radio from hitting the speaker due to bumps and vibrations from the car/road...

As you can see a very noticeable color difference on the vents versus the dash frame...

The cluster was done by IS and has the amp to volt conversion...

With the amp to volt conversion you have to bolt the alt wires together because the conversion is done in the cluster...
