Thank you to those who helped! I making a fiberglass air cleaner. I have the plug ready, but I'm not sure how to proceed. I have some clear 2 part epoxy resin and I am wondering if that is suitable for covering my plug. On line instructions say to wet sand, polish, then wax it 8 to 10 times with the carnuba wax, then apply mold release. What I'm looking for is assurance that the gelcoat won't stick to my epoxy resin through the mold release. I have so much time and effort into the plug that I don't want to risk learning the hard way.

I sent you a PM. If you want, I'll walk you through the process. As mentioned, I do this professionally.
