After so many starts and stops on this car I will finally get this thing back on track in the next week.

Got the $100 318 ready... just need to swap ex manifolds with some 5.2 truck units.

Got to find a different shop crane that will allow the engine to be raised over the rad support... my current one cant do it.

Then the car will reside on my lift while I install the drivetrain.

Anxious to get started.

New here so forgive me but the 62-65 Mopars are some of my favorites and I’m building a 64 Plymouth Max Wedge car but I have questions. 2 or 4 door? Why go small block? Pics? Details? Thanks in advance!

As always Get Real….Get Mopar

Two door for better resale value... but I like crew cabs myself.

My Coronet was a 272/auto car. I have lots of SBM parts so I am staying with that engine family but I have a 413 in reserve.

Since you have a two post lift, why not drop the k frame, mount the engine on the k frame and install from the bottom. Then you won't need a different crane.

Don't want to go that deep into it... this is an $800 car I just want to drive.

I've never dropped the k frame on any of these cars going back to '68 when I was a Mopar dealer mechanic. It is a great way to do it but not on this car right now.

Plus I just got a great deal on a used HD shop crane!

I got most of my front brake parts today with drums and shoes arriving in a few days.

I was going to resurface the front drums but the parts guys that used to turn my drums no longer have anyone that knows how to do the job... so it's new drums.

After I get the fronts and master done I will tackle the rears. I'm replacing everything except the backing plates and the hard lines... unless I find a leak but the OE lines look real good.

Next up is a new fuel line, a couple of new fuel filters (one for the carb the other just in front of the fuel then bolt the drive train to the engine and drop it in place.
