Carlisle 2017 is history,,,,and another thread Did not get the car done,now that gives me the time to take my time.

Heads are on and torqued.Valvetrain is on and lashed. Will adjust the valves again after getting it up to temp.
Making new oil lines for the pick up and the System 1 oil filter.
Trying to find the proper o-ring cord,another new to me process.

Made the oil pan oil lines.Need to buy 2 fittings for the oil filter set up.

System 1 oil canister mounted and oil lines fabbed up.

Installed the intake and primed oil system.Immediate oil pressure!Rotated the engine while priming to get oil up to the top.
Then checked the rocker roller tip and geometry.The exhaust is not right,removed the lash cap hoping that would be good,,,,,,,,,NOT! Ordered a set of exhaust valves to add some length for the right swipe.

8 steps forward,6 steps back.I thought I would be dropping the HEMI in today,,,maybe next week

Well,,,,ordered a set of Severe duty valves,when they finally arrived they were measured and checked.The valve stem was .002 smaller than what I was using.lost at least a week! Ordered a set of Ferrea valves.They finally came in and it said right on the box,,,,,,,,,radial valve LOCK! Lost another week.Ordered a set of radial locks,,,,an error on the address label made them undeliverable.I managed to find them in the UPS warehouse and picked them up yesterday after loosing a week anda half
So now I can finish and drop the engine in. More drama yet to come!

So,,,,,,have the new Ferrea Valves with radial locks tall enough not to need lash caps and great geometry.Using the spring clamp is like wrestling an elephant.Switched to the drill press after several explosions with the hand clamp.One time they came apart spewing the springs,retainers and lock across the room.LOST 1/2 of a keeper
Ordered another set,,,,,,,they will be here Mon or Tues.
When will I catch a break.My heap needs to loaded by Friday night for Englishtown
