    Hello Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone here has used Instrument Specialties to restore their dash. Looks like that's who Graveyard Carz uses and it looks like they do great work. Just wondering what they charge? I know the price depends on what they have to do. I'm just trying to get an idea of what to expect.

Thanks for your input ~ Lenny B

PS - I have a 1968 Coronet dash in working order but showing its age I'd like to send to them.

I guess I would have to ask what is wrong with your dash? I assume you mean your instrument cluster. I restored my 73 instrument cluster my self, which included cleaning the gauges, repainting the gauge needles, polishing the plastic, replacing the gaskets and gauge insulators. I was fortunate that all the gauges were in working order, and I didn't have any bad fading of the gauge faces. So, if yours isn't that bad, you might consider doing the work your self.

They did mine. They do great work but knowing what I know now I would of attempted it myself. Some of there stuff is farmed out and I now know the different vendors to get it done much cheaper.
They also converted the amp gauge in to a volt meter. IMG_2408.PNG IMG_2410.JPG IMG_2411.JPG

My cluster was done there. It's excellent and looks flawless, and they corrected problems it had without them being told anything about the problem, which tells me they go through them thoroughly and do everything.

Also do not forget about Dave Patik, Performance Car Graphics in Florida.....He does full dashes and at a good price point....

Mine is at IS and they are doing/did the pads, a pillars, dash frame, upper windshield trim, defrost vents, lucite panels, cluster etc...basically the whole dash except for assembling it....I had them do mine for very specific reasons relating to my build. My 69 GTX is a red interior and very tricky to get the dash and pads correctly done....An all black dash, I would do myself. Just like I did with my charger...

They do an outstanding job, no question....if they tell you 6 months bank on 12, lol....They also stand behind their work fully. As far as cost they are at the top.....

I would suggest to look at texas69bee's post very carefully....He makes VALID points that can get you the same level at a lot less cost....Then it falls into what you can do and handle. The dash in my charger I did exactly what Bee was referring to......

            Good thread

I have two Rally Dash Clusters I want rebuilt, one of them looks to be in Really good shape though. Aside from adding a tic tac to that one, I may just roll the dice and install it

I have had 1 done by Instrument Specialties, and 2 from Red Line. Been just as happy with Shannon at Red Line and his pricing is a bit better.

My bud had them do a very rare 67 Merc cougar "427" car dash
                It is a Museum piece!
                Truly a beautiful job.

I was quoted over 5K to restore an A body dash. To me that is stupid money but each to their own. Good luck.

I had autoinstruments.com out of Martinsville, VA do my Challengers.

I was very pleased with their work and the price was in the game.

I had a '70 Cluster altered at Redline from Tennessee a couple of years ago. Nice work, and opted for the Voltmeter upgrade. Only problem is that the voltmeter change requires sending your cluster for modification. I ended up buying a donor dash and sending it for the rebuild. Nice work, and it only cost $200 for what I had done.
I have made this a Sticky thread, and will move it eventually to the Interiors Forum.

Nobody here has a price on gauge cluster restoration? I have a 69 charger, I want the cluster restored on. I would like the faces painted, no stickers.

Has anyone used the PG Classic Rallye Dash 5 piece set?? I was wondering about the fit and oem appearance.

Because the only one that can give you that price is the person performing the work based on your part.
