Having issues with my carb flooding so i temporarily swap my 1405 for an old 1406 i had. While adjusting the accelerator pump the excess gas caused this hole(the bottom most on the first pic) to smoke. I looked at the 1405 and it has a plug in the same spot. What exactly am i looking at here?

Looks like you do not have a choke pull off. So the hole is for a vacuum nipple for the pull off diaphragm. Start it and see if there is vacuum. If so just plug it.

The vacuum port for the pull off for the 1406 automatic choke. Plug the hole if you're not using the automatic choke.
