Hemi Orange vs. Chevy Orange

Here’s a good shot under an LED light. Notice the chameleon like quality of yellow orange and red hues.....

Your engine is Glyptolized? We used that back in the old days to set electronic potentiometers. It is like glue. Must have been thinned to spray it out. Curious as to why you used it actualy?
Used it in the lifter valley.....
 
I heard that the Mopar Brand had a bad batch out there at one time and that really confused a lot of people. I even read where the Allis Chalmers tractor orange was a close match to the Hemi Orange. (Reddish)

IMO Chevy Orange is a bit more reddish than Hemi Orange and Race Hemi version is lighter than Hemi Orange.

Please excuse the dirty conditions and peeling paint, but this is what my max looks like, painted with mopar performance race hemi orange. Needless to say, I won't use that @#!t again.

I like it! Maybe you should paint your intake manifold and water pump to match now. It's a pain to do when they are on the car but it will tie it all together.
