I have my 74 Plymouth at the painters. He pulled the engine ( 360 ) to paint the bay and motor. While it was out I got the casting numbers off the block. Come to find out, it is out of a 78 model low HP. My thoughts are to stroke it but not sure the right crank, pistons and head combo I should go with. Would like low end torque and only fairly bad fuel economy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am a true big block guy at heart but I honestly don't think you can go wrong making that engine a 408.
There are many different options for those components. Just make sure you get a good game plan together as far as combo goes and stick to it.

I went with RPM Machine stroker kit with a Lunati camshaft on 171 Demon 340 to make it 416 cid. They supplied all the parts and it was a torque monster.

Welcome from another Michigander. Agree with Ronp, go for the 408

Welcome, could you post your tire & wheel sizes...they have the look that I want. Thx.

From the Evergreen state of Washington, Welcome Joe, too our Mopar world. I also agree with Ron, as I have several stroked small block friends and they run hard. I like the American 5 spokes, have them on my '65 Dodge.:moparsmiley:
