My prediction is America will look like " Escape from New Yauk" in the not too distant future....I believe that you will see the day where us and our cars are attacked by climate wacked out freaks. This will happen!

Who says the lefts are going to get their “future utopia”?Laugh now RC,none of us will be laughing when they put their net zero plan into full effect. Rhode Island is the test bed,the rest of the blue states will follow suit, then the Feds will cut off funds to the red states until they comply. We have been canceled and are not a part of the lefts future utopia!
Just read an article regarding a study in the UK that reports classic cars are less harmful to the planet than EV's. Part of it is that old cars are driven on average of 1200 miles/year (about what I drive). EV's though emits huge carbon more than does IC cars, during production. Report suggests that it would take more than 45 years for the average classic car (considering it's typical use) to emit the same tonnage of carbon that an EV does before it leaves the factory. Interesting. Saw this on my phone while waiting in line for grocery check out. Came from 'Carscoops' if ya want to look it up..
Granted this was one study; but the data on how much carbon is emitted mfg an all EV vehicle, indicated as more than double compared with an IC vehicle, MO, is another unsung tidbit with EV’s. Here EV fans are with all the giddy hoopla on EV’s, not discounting the billions to create a new infrastructure. Seems insane and politicians touting this as doable in around 10 years? Another example of people not knowing squat about all the pieces of the puzzle that needs to be put together, except those pieces have to be made yet as well.I’d love for that to be a fact that makes a difference. But it won’t simply because no one is ever going to drive a DD, EV or otherwise as little as we all drive our classics. Thus making the point of the article moot right off the press. And even if it wasn’t as I say - they would spin as such anyway.
Yeah their reality checks hit them right after our cars are gone! Hence Freiburgers crusher Camaro, saver from the jaws of death! One thing that needs pointed out is that California has passed strict rules pertaining to emissions and EV in the past that they have had to dial back later when reality hit that their standards and goals weren't achievable.
I wouldn't get too riled up ranting that our hobby is destroyed due to some naïvely written laws or targets that some state legislatures might passing, because as has been the case with California, reality checks will eventually hit them upside the head, and they will have no choice but to scale back their unreachable goals too is my take on the subject.
What they don't mention is the damage that is done destroying the earth to mine for the batteries, and what's left behind after the do. I suppose that Bill Gates and Warren Buffet can use these abandoned strip mines to dump all their radioactive nuclear waste in from the nuclear power plants they are building to power all these electric cars and gadgets, because they are so much better for the environment than ICE powered vehicles! The whole climate change bullshit is nothing more than a scam setup by technology pimps, who are making billions pushing their sky is falling agenda all while they fly around in their private jets, ride in limousines and live in huge mansions on beach front property they are claiming will be underwater any day now! Electric vehicles never erase the carbon footprint it takes to produce them, and they still have to be charged, they are not zero emissions!Granted this was one study; but the data on how much carbon is emitted mfg an all EV vehicle, indicated as more than double compared with an IC vehicle, MO, is another unsung tidbit with EV’s. That, I don't really understand. I can appreciate that a wind turbine blade won't last forever; constant fatigue from repetitive stresses due to gravity as the blade moves from one side to the other, erosion (especially the leading edge) from rain, snow, grit in the air etc. and the usual stress of the blade just doing it's job of slowing down the air and converting it to a useful force. Not to mention used solar panels and wind turbine blades.
Most solar manufacturers claim their panels will last for about 25 years. That means the solar e-waste glut is coming.

Solar panels are starting to die. What will we do with the megatons of toxic trash?

This is what I find perplexing, Styrofoam and non-biodegradable plastics still used like nuts in packaging. Take out orders? Styrofoam or plastic, frozen dinners? Many are plastic and we’ve heard of the ills with plastics filling up in our bodies. Recent study I read was rather shocking on how much...go friggin figure.Cradle to grave, a styrofoam cup pollutes more than a paper cup and the styrofoam lasts forever
You might be rewarded if you be patient for a little longer. With the economy heading downhill, people's bank accounts fattened by not being to go out much in the recent past due to covid all while getting big wads of stimulus money given to them, but those accounts now getting leaner by the day, and especially with interest rates going up up up, builders who've been swamped with business will soon find themselves running out of work and I bet will be eager to cut deals to get work. Some material prices will drop too with the dwindling demand. My timing sure sucks building the extra garage I’d been thinking about for 10 years. Last year couldn’t find anyone having time to do the work. An April quote on the slab – now up $750, electrical – up $1,000, - building materials TBD…from my March quote. Ahh yes, while my IRA tanks..
Grind them up and put them in concrete for reinforcement. (fiberglass) Here's a interesting article. How to recycle a 150-foot wind turbine blade? Haul it to Louisiana, MONot to mention used solar panels and wind turbine blades.

This is what I am doing if I can hold out... I was all set to do a roof on my home and the price went up X4... FK em, Not sure who is spending the obscene amounts of money for building supplies..... I refuse to pay that much money, so my projects are all on hold.....You might be rewarded if you be patient for a little longer.
