Im going between a few cranks here,Scat,K1,or Ohio, just wondering what anyone thinks about the Ohio cranks, the price is good, which kinda makes me sketchy, would they handle a 550 hp car?

A friend just had his 512RB dynoed using Ohio crank internals (crank & rods). It made 754hp @ 6650 and 680 ft/lbs torque @ 4700, No problems. You can use your stock forged crank for the 550 hp application no problem. You should just have the rotating assy. balanced.

I think they took down their website or moved it. I heard they are slow and kinda a pain in the *** to deal with from a good restoration buddy.

Did he actually receive the crank?

Im not worried about the crank taking awhile to come in as long as it comes in the reason I ask is because i found quite a few for a good price and some mopar guys swear by them,K1 are really nice but for a 550 hp car the price is kinda high, and i was think eagle but heard they have some installation issues, also are the ohio balanced like out of the box will it have to take a trip to the machine shop? im tryin to deal with the least maching possible until down the line when i get a better job also i found a crank on the 440 source anybody ever use those?

Yeah he did eventually get the crank. He put it in a Hemi car that sold to a home builder in Frisco.
