How much or should these parts move on steering column. 69 gtx 4 speed car.

The rear housing fastens to the column jacket with a couple of square headed bolts with nuts. Probably loose after decades of vibration. Pull the steering wheel to access the nuts.

Not making sense what they attach to on bottom housing (cover) Jayne Iam missing a part?
Get a FSM and read. You will understand more.

I am rebuilding a floor shift column right now. You need these two little square head bolts.
They slide into these two slots in the column- let me know if you need more pics, there are members on here that sell this stuff.

No , I bought gtx that was taken apart , I took steering colum apart , made diagramed all parts . Who ever put it together last must of drove it like that . Looking for the bolts and nuts online. Not much luck yet . Thanks for picture and information, much appreciated.

Start a "wanted to buy" thread for those bolts and nuts. There is/was a guy on here who was buying and selling a lot of steering columns years ago. He bought a couple from me, but I can't remember his handle. Also would be a good idea to post the same wanted thread over on FABO. Someone will have what you need.
Member on here Bob Horman sells a lot of small hardware/fasteners, send him a private message he probably has a couple.
