Almost complete with my 440 build and wondering what HP and Torque numbers I can expect?

here is my build:
-440 machined 30 over
-forged pistons approx 10:1 compression
-stock steel crank machined
-eddy aluminum performer rpm heads 88cc
-comp hydraulic roller extreme energy cam duration 280 intake 288 exhaust 230/236 @ .050. Valve lift .541 intake .537 exhaust
- comp pro magnum 1.5 roller rockers
-750 edelbrock carb
-msd distributor/ignition
-ch4b intake (using stock hood so clearance issue with performer rpm)
- dougs headers 2" od with 3.5" collector going into 3" exhaust
probably forgetting something.
Thoughts on the HP and Torque numbers?
Going into a '69 RR.
Thanks!

get a bigga cob', maybe a 8fitty :)

I am thinking 525hp 540ft lbs.. If you are porting them heads a bit.. Is that a 280 hr cam? The builder I use built a dart motor for a guy with a 280hr and it sounded awesome, never heard it in the car, just in the dyno room, that had indy heads and it was a 575hp motor...

i know the carb will hold back the numbers some. I already had the 750 but do have access to a Holley 850.

The 750 will make it crisp off the line while the 850 will allow better top end but an 800 might be the best of both worlds. Without knowing what the compression height or the deck height/piston measurement is, determining the true CR isn't possible here....

Carbs are a tough call, kind of need to have a good builder that has a dyno. When I had my Big M Block built, block came from Dart with 4.600 bore, we finished it 4.630 with callies crank, racetec pistons, etc etc etc etc etc you guys don't want to hear about chevy engines, lol, I thought and was told that a 850 grant would be the carb for that build, well the motor (which was 100% streetable, under 10.5 to 1, and you could put a cup of coffee on the intake at 1K rpms} made 565hp and went lean on the AF meter, we tried a 950 he had still went lean, ended up with a custom 950 and almost 700 hp (later on the gentleman I sold the car to swapped cams and exhaust and made almost 800hp!!! This was pump gas btw!!!! Installed in a 71 chevelle, moser rear end, best part was the tranny I was going to install was taking for ever at the builder the motor was in the car waiting for a tranny!!! Imagine that, hearing it on the dyno, seeing the numbers and having it in the car with no tranny, so I bought a $1500 tranny on EBAY, lol!!! The co was Dannys trannys or something like that, it said "good to 800hp", so I called them, they said it could ship right away, it came and is still in the car!!! Not that you could beat on that car but if you could we came close to it a bunch of times, 50mph burnouts were easy, lol...

Anyway, moral of the story, get the right carb, especially with mopars, too much fuel you will wash her and maybe ruin your bearings not enough fuel and you know what will happen, you want just the right fuel and cfm, a motor like you describe should be dyno tuned, in or out of the car, or both, that would be my first order of business, if your builder doesnt have a dyno, find someone with a driveon and wideband, bring a couple carbs with you, pay for the 4 hours and go to town. Me and a couple buddies used to rent a dyno for the day, jesses garage gave us a tech and 8 hours of dyno for $450 and we used to tip the mechanic $50 plus buy him lunch, but split 4 ways its like going to an expensive dinner with your wife... I wish that garage was still there, I miss it..

The builder does have an engine dyno so it will be dyno tuned just looking for some thoughts before that happens. Thanks

The 850 Demon serves me well. 500/500 for me are good street numbers. 415 RWHP chassis. Miles of smoky smiles.
