I think they got it right.

That's because if they didn't, Sonny was going to put a hit out on them.

I am not at liberty to say...she was ok ..BUT did not know old school...she said I did not have power steering nor power brakes,nor air,...she said that kills the price....also said the hardtops were more valuable?...I do not think so....they called Galen, historical, & had a guy from the Peterson museum to document my car ( i had copies of build sheet, Galen' decode papers, 1/76 built) she said the interior dragged down the price!

in 1963 they wanted I BIG mill,4 speed, 355's/..a battery, 1 fan belt, alternator 3250 lbs, ...that's it..........first one to the next light is the hero!
:steering::praying:

I bet if you told her it was the original engine they wouldn't have been the wiser.

As far as not having power brakes or steering you are correct. Working on such cars back in the day, I found most people didn't want all the power options. They said it would be more to go wrong and ordered without. My '62 Polara 500 (top of the line Dart) was ordered without any power, even has a radio delete.

I think a more Mopar savvy appraiser might have given you a higher value. Not by much but a little bit more.

Still pretty cool to have experienced what you did and you'll own the bragging rights for a long time :thumbsup:

air shocks..... oh the horror! a 50 dollar/30 minute fix......... she needed one of them shoved up her a$$; instead, Sonny busted out the Grandkids! :thumbsup:

what came under the hood originally? ........ I would argue the "stock" configuration would fetch far less money than Sonny's beast...... and anyone who bought the "stock" edition would hotrod the **** out of it.
