Alrighty folks, have my steering column apart. Thought it was best to do since it had a garden hose clamp on the lower inner shaft when I started this project. And just as I suspected, the nylon shear pins are sheared. Does anyone know the correct length (from end to end), once the pins are in there proper position? Hard to see and find the exactly hole alignment. Almost looks like the inner (top) half wholes are not the same size as the outer (bottom) half.
Specs are as follows, 1968 Coronet Super Bee / manual steering (floor shift) and no ignition. Just looking for stock length, tip to tip….
Thanks in advance!
