Probably just a keyboard flub. I know I do em! But yeah, the purple is C7, F=1970. It’s the same on the pad on the 440’s. E=‘69, F=‘70.

In your example removing the C from FC7 means there is no color code... C = Purple... So the only letter is F which is intended to indicate 1970 but all we have is F which in the color codes = Green... So is it Green? Or is it 1970? Most don't care as much about the year as they do about the color, so F = Green....
Maybe FF4 will help the first F = 1970, the second F = Green & the 4 tells us it's a light/medium tome of green..
Good question, I have 2 more on this Super Bird from looking at the pics,
- is that a stock Hemi or 440 skid plate?
- I don’t see a front sway bar?

What I stated is correct. F = 1970 C7 = what ever name is correct purple that year

car sold for $125K to a "highend collector". not sure who because they had them sign a NDA. He is having a shop on the East coast put a demon engine in it amongst some other things..
i think it was a fair price considering how much real birds are going for now. Still love this car. it was built well and looked great.

i think they are waiting for funds to clear. but the funds have been wired. They apparently have to do due diligence on where the funds come from and make sure they aren't from nefarious places. which i think they keep it as long as they can so they make money on the money thats not thiers.
