great pics ^^^^^^^^

wife says she can't remember a Thanksgiving when I wasn't painting a Mopar; guess it just works out like that........... the nice part is it's usually too cold for bugs, but not freezing............. I have about a foot and a half of leaves in the yard, looks like a leaf blizzard
My place is full of trees.....live oaks don't shed until spring time and there's several in my yard along with the oaks that shed in the fall. And with the dry summers lately, they all lose leaves. I'm always blowing out the shop but not so much this year. RPITA
@HawkRod ......... look at the right fender in that picture, you can see the bottom "kicked out" behind the tire plain as day...... remember the issue we had with that? it was manufactured that way, it even stressed the rocker trim a bit.......... you can shim it out, but you can't shim it in
tiny little dent where the bumper contacted, pinky size......... no way it twisted that fender. I'm going with factory defect, cause I've seen it before

either way, it's fixed now
I've seen that lots of times too....my 66 looks pretty straight though. Trim that isn't straight or even looks like crap to me....
The way my buddy explained it on my car was the rocker was assembled too far in ( as I recall)
Same side. Also on that car , the DS quarter was sticking out by 1/2 ". There was that much lead filling the trunk gap. The trunk drop offs were barely welded in.
Someone had to go take a **** or something while putting my car together
Or went out for a toke or two on the wacky weed....

thought I was close before....... silly me, maybe this time...... the list of shitty things to do is quite small, and a lot less shitty; it really is close this time

It's time to don the suit, crank up GNR, and start spraying!

And protect Rebel

Stop toying with us!
I feel like a 14yr. old waiting for the new issue of Penthouse to come out.

the list is shrinking, I swear it is

rear wheel opening moldings mocked up

I puddled epoxy primer in to the hard to reach areas, and any of the seams that were undisturbed......

sound deadener under the roof and package tray....... we call it rock guard when used in the wheel wells and fenders....... I don't know what to call it when used as a cushion for the spare tire

it may never end

lower tie bar needed some love, I couldn't look at it any more....... welding the stiffener to it helped a lot, and a little filler

quarter extensions needed to be dialed in....... done

and a few dents on the roof...... will get vinyl top, but not over dents

the more crap I get out of the way, the bigger the bite I can take out of this baby

the list is really small now

Nice to see you back on the car again Mark. Apparently Rebel cracked the whip after his day off.

My autobody buddy referred to it as like the movie title
" The NeverEnding Story"

I'm still working on the tricky part; ........ pretty sure it's a mental issue

She's really looking good Mark - this car is going to be magnificent when it get its paint. I think the plan is to then come down, install all exterior stuff like emblems, bumpers and top and then crack a few beers and celebrate!

That looks amazing eldubb440! Another two years and I'll be ready to paint :) Say, what did you use for sound deadener and why those spots (and not other places)? Terry

lizard skin.........in addition to sound deadener, I put it where the tires kick stuff up, top of the wheelhouses and fender area, like a painted undercoat. It didn't make sense to buy another product; this stuff gets hard as a rock, and I've painted over it before using epoxy primer as an adhesion promotor ....... I will put it in the top of the fenders to match.

under the package tray seemed like a good spot, should help with the sound system....... and a pad for the spare tire

I will coat the entire floor and inside the doors also

I also pumped 3 cans of inner frame rail treatment inside the rails, rockers, A pillars, sail panels ect......
