A new problem rears it's head. What's happening is a momentary grinding/scraping sort of noise, ONLY under hard throttle. Driving normally it doesn't happen. If I leave with normal throttle, and then start to get on it hard after I'm moving, it does it. Cruising along at, say, 45mph and I womp on it, it might do it for the initial moment of loading the engine/drivetrain but then it goes away. It seems like I can feel it a little as well as hear it..
I can't tell where it's coming from, but it soes seem to originate from the front or middle of the car, not the rear. It doesn't do it any other time except when there's a quick loading of the drivetrain. Drivin' me crazy (short drive LOL).
Plugs don't seem to show signs of detonation, at least nothing obvious. U-joints all seem okay, but? Converter? Trans(Lord please no)?
I do use a pinion snubber that lives about 1/2" off the floor, so I don't see it being caused by a pinion angle/wrap-up problem. Okay thanks for any ideas!
