Here is a 5.7 Hemi cutaway model next to a beautiful aluminum block slant 6.
 
Really glad we made it there a few years ago - was a spur of the moment part of our trip, too.

The Chrysler tank engine.
Five six cylinder engines gear fed into a common crank. Looks like a Pentastar.
Holy Moley.
This is the durability of the slant six design, born in war.
 
So what happens to all this cool stuff?
 
I was there back in 2002 when I visited the Viper assembly plant. Definitely a cool place to visit. Too bad it's shuttered.
