I fine alot of owrk beches on craigslist ,some real nice welding tables lets your fingers walk on your key board and check different towns and cities in your area you would be surprised what you find
I built my work bench in my old garage. I mounted my vise and bench grinder on a hinged piece of wood that folds down. If you want to use either of them you lift them up and a 3/4" piece of pipe holds them up. You'll notice a hole in board on upper right that pipe goes through, there's one on other side also. The pipe goes through both holes
to hold them up.

It's hard to get a sense of this with all the stuff piled on. I used four painted 2x6s for the top. Supported by a cleat on two walls and a cheap bas cabinet on one end. I used two free wal cabinets and spanned them with prefronished shelving to make display shelves for nick-nacks and trophies. LED under- cabinet lighting and a power strip on the back edge. Air compressor tucked under one end.
Now that's looking like what I'm thinking but loaded with drawers.

Mine is 4x8' with a 3/4" MDF top over 3/4" ply. Legs are true 6x6" rough hemlock from a friend of mine up the road with a sawmill. All the bracing lumber underneath is from the mill too. Sturdy and very inexpensive. On wheels so I can move it where I need it. I now have a vise and grinder mounted with steel plates underneath to support them. I would love to put a steel top over the whole surface but for now, I use it for assembly and not welding or beating on. I also built it at a 38" height for comfort...

No Torqueflite for me, A833 yes. Vise and grinder are coming.
Kraken for me and yes no Torqueflite but instead Tremec T56... why have only 4 gears when you could have 6
I see some mentions of casters? I want a bench that is super heavy that won't budge when you have to torque on something in the vise, to me they shouldn't move at all. A nice roll around cart is great but not roll around benches IMO.

I spent more money on the casters than I did for the rest of the bench. The lock mechanism on these casters prevent them from rolling and swivelling so the bench absolutely will not move. I have torqued up to 150 lb/ft in the vise without issue. Can't buy cheap Chinese casters. I'm normally not a fan of mobile benches either and again, I don't use it like many of you guys are for rebuilding A/T's or M/T's. I would definitely go with a stationary bench if I were using it for more heavy, abusive jobs.
Just had a coworker donate about 6ft of wall cabinets. When he said he had kitchen cabinets I was thinking... more junk hot glued particle board but they are 100% plywood with the venerred flat doors SWEEEEET! A quick sanding and some nice paint (maybe black) and I'll have some rigid cabinets for above the bench.
