1966 Coronet 2-door sedan. Has 1968 K-frame. Left side lower control arm at pivot shaft is much closer to k-frame than right side. Based on past experience, the right side looks correct to me.
*Could 1968 K-frame be made with a different gap to the lower control arm on one side versus the other side?
*Could both control arms be OK, but mismatched because they are from different years?
*Could the deterioration of the K-frame put one lower control arm forward of the other, such that both lower control arms are the same?
*Could this indicate damage to one of the lower control arm pivot shafts?
I put PST TOR4830P 1.03" torsion bars on the car today and noticed the potential problem.
I purchased the car last year. Previous owner never had wheels aligned. Test driving it didn't reveal a problem.
Just turning to those wise in B-bodies for guidance. Thanks as always for your help!

I agree, the pictures are not easy to make out.
You can tell by the appearance of the parts that stuff has been pried upon, hit with hammers/tools, etc. In 60 years, these cars have probably had several owners and some of them did not care about using original parts or doing proper repairs. You may have a combination of parts from different cars.
I'm the type that looks for ways to do things with what I have at hand so I get it. I'll spend the money when it warrants it.
How does the car steer and drive? Has it been aligned recently?

It is very hard to tell from your pictures. But if one Pivot Pin is sliding out of the arm then you are due for a rebuild. Bushings are probably shot.
I'll try to get a better view tomorrow. I have a windshield man coming today, so the car is on the ground

I purchased the car last year. Previous owner never had wheels aligned over 8 years of ownership. Test driving it didn't reveal a problem.
I bought it January 2025. Engine was a worn out 318 LA, probably from junkyard. I did not drive it long before pulling the motor.

You defiantly need new lower control arm bushings & at the same time clean the arms up, maybe do the upper control arm & strut rod bushings also.
