Machining Air Grabber Turn Signal Openings

Anyone here successfully opened up the Air Grabber signal opening in the cast material of the 70 hood? If so what did you use and your experience?

I unfortunately no longer have access to the Bridgeport. So its going to be air grinder and file?

Is this stuff magnesium?

Haven't done so, but my "go to" would be a Unibit.
Thanks Wayne. Yes that’s what I used to make the hole seen above. Ill see what it’s like to die grind it out and then file the flats out.
 
I did it with a Dremel. Better control than with a die grinder, smaller tools too. IIRC I used what looked like a tiny end mill. Tapped the holes for the turn signal to mount. Worked out perfectly.
 
mine came out very well too although it would have been better if they were already cast that way.
