Made In USA Thread

There is a city in Japan named Usa, but it has been there since the 6th century.
Where do you come up with these little and often extensive nuggets of knowledge? I’ve told you before I enjoy reading your posts because you always seem to come up with some good factual stuff.

BTW - Happy Canada Day!

I thought there was a city in China named Usa. No periods between the letters.
Yea, that was a sneaky move from years ago. Not to say the bastards didn’t revive it and nothing is done about it.

I had a hell of a time getting masonry bits the other day (drilling for a flagpole mount, into a stone home...un-fun).

Went to Lowe's (only place that was open - we have a ma and pa hardware store down the street but they keep "I'm retired and I don't give a ****" hours). Everything I could find - and I mean EVERYTHING - was "made in China". Goddammit. I try REALLY hard to avoid feeding the commie bastards, and buying domestic, but when I absolutely canNOT find anything domestic...well...I needed to drill holes.

Funny thing about funnels though - I needed one for the kitchen. Looked EVERYWHERE in the grocery stores, box stores, you name it. All Chinesium. Went to Advance Auto? Made in USA. So, my kitchen funnel (mainly for Gatorade mix, into water bottles) is an auto parts store funnel. Meh. It funnels food just fine!

Time to revive this thread.
Here are some part suppliers I have used recently that sell made in the USA products

TTI performace exhaust
Remflex exhaust gaskets
Torctite exhaust clamps
Repops weather strips
Chemical guys
Legendary auto interiors
Auto Custom Carpets
What other companies providing parts and supplies are making their products in the USA.

Our early A-body sheet metal patch panels and trunk extensions are MADE IN USA.

Also, the vast majority of our reproduction emblems, die-cast moldings, and letter sets are also MADE IN USA.

Our speedometer cables are MADE IN USA.

Our 67-69 Barracuda/Dart rear interior panels for the convertibles are MADE IN USA.

These are just some, but not all, of the parts we have produced in the USA.

We do try to utilize state-side manufacturing when at all possible and economically viable.

I just received my made in the USA Dana 60 from Strange Engineering yesterday! It's a beautiful piece!

I have a couple of those myself and agree they are some nice well made units. Only gripe I have with them is their use of Green bearings instead of oem style tapered bearings.

I am going to get a rear wheel disc brake kit for the car, so I would have to run them anyway. My friend took a few of his cars to Watkins Glen raceway and raced them around at speed with green bearings with no failures, that is more than I will be doing with my car.
