The 1963 Savoy "MAXIMVS" is going to his new home tomorrow afternoon. I'm not going to lie and say I won't miss him but a man has got to acknowledge his limitations as age and health limit me. The new owner will treat him well.

My new potential ride is an unmolested 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T. The only thing it lacks is power brakes and still has the HD drum brakes. The only thing that keeps it from survivor status is a 1999 repaint. Here's a pic of the fender tag, it comes with the build sheet as well.

I remember when you got the car back in when the Scat Pack forum was going strong, how long ago was that?

Very cool, hopefully the deal on the R/T comes together.

The 67 R/T was a bust. Too many rust issues. MAXIMVS is in its new home now. Good guy, has the right mindset.

Damn, I really wanted to see this R/T, and I was hoping you were in love with it and the sale of Maximvs was cushioned. Time to find the right car for you!

I actually bought two new cars. A 1958 Ford (yes I know) Country Sedan Station Wagon and a 1973 Dodge Charger SE fully loaded. The 58 wagon is completely restored with everything an old man needs to drive. 5.0 HO mustang motor, AOD trans, A/C, P/B, P/S and cruise. The 73 Charger is a 440 Car with A/C, Cruise, P/B, P/S. Here's some pics of the 58 wagon, attached. My Dad was a ford man and this is kind of my nod to him...

I'll miss MAXIMVS but I know it is in good hands. I was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer, so I'm dealing with that and not saddling my wife with selling a race car if things don't work out. For now, the cancer is localized and has not spread so it's treatable.

Hopefully the old Savoy Max Wedge has yet another great 3rd/4th life

I like the 57 Ford Wagons, DelRay 2 dr Ranch Wagon
& the 57 Fairlane HT
my step dad Bob who died last Sunday had a couple of them both
1 was a car he built for my mom, that DelRay 2 dr wagon was quick & road great
built up 352 FE, good heads mild cam, T-10 4 speed, 9" rear

I personally never cared for the 58 -59's, or the 4 drs
something about the front & rear lites, the 4 head-lites & wider tail-lites etc.
but they are still cool rides, & it's a great tribute to your dad

Hopefully your treatments continue to go well...

Live life today...
Have fun while you still can...
