This ‘69 Bee had a boss ‘70-‘80’s custom paint tribute liftoff hood. The owners son came up with the design and an artist made it come to life. I personally miss those racing pin stripes and have a vague memory of a Walt Disney like cartoon where the dueling racing stripes came alive while being applied and they raced all over a car, then off an edge. Ended up a mess.
The Green paint was such a rich color on this car and unfortunately my photos didn’t capture the tasteful white roll bar inside.
Since I’m attracted to shiny interesting objects this is one wins my “Best of Show”.

In the barn find area are were the few other photos I, or a friend, took. I just felt like looking yesterday and not take pictures.
So here is the friendly Allison and a ‘64 Max Wedge factory lightweight car that was extracted from a collapsed building. A steel beam had crushed some of the roof line. It took 6 Saturday’s, 5 best friends to, in unison, raise 4 columns of cribbing and jacks, 3 millwrights to plan it, 2 guys starting it all by verbally jousting over “Deal or No Deal and finally 1 gun that didn’t go off......... phew.
The other photos are my personal interest in the ‘68 hemi
Coronet and a plain hubcap on the no frills Roadrunner.
The show, as others have stated is an overload. God bless the great folks who put this on. It’s a labor of love.
One last story. My friend and I were mulling around outside looking for an opportunity to get discount tickets, as it was nothing came of it. We finally found the booth that accepted credit cards and as we slowly turned towards it a good/great Samaritan gave us Two Free Tickets. Only in America, I thought, there’s a new Lone Ranger. Thanks masked man!

My wife and I were there yesterday, first time we went to this show. We've been meaning to go since it's local to us but it just never worked out until this year. We really wanted to go this year to see the official reveal of the 3 cars in the top picture, the 3 FJ5 cars. That picture is of the Magnum Auto Restorations display, the guy in the picture is Mark the owner of the shop, My GTX is at his shop right now and I watched these 3 cars being built so I was really interested in seeing their debut. All I can say about this show is a definite sensory overload, amazing display of vehicles. I hope you had a good time, I know I did. Thanks for the pictures.
Rick

That booth was glowing. Almost needed sun glasses.

This is my wife and here brothers and sister in the Chrysler Turbine car, at the New York 1964/65 Worlds Fair,at the Chrysler Pavilion. She is the tall girl in the backseat. They had a small track and were giving rides in several Turbine cars. The prototype /show car 1965 Dodge Charger was also on display. If you have ever seen the film of the Turbine cars being destroyed, it will make a grown man cry!

Three beautiful cars, they did a killer job on them. The lights at the show did weird things to the color but they still tried to burn your retinas, they looked even brighter under the lights at his shop.

I'm so sorry I missed your call I really wanted to see you. I'm terrible.

You terrible hunny bunny?!?! NFW!

I should have followed up, but I was with my uncle and he was like a kid in the candy store. lol
