I ran in the cam on my 340 motor today luckily the engine is on a run stand.
I noticed there was an slight oil leak from the sump gasket. Upon inspection it appeared the oil was wicking through the sump gasket material along the pan rails. It is completely dry at the front and rear of the sump. I nipped up the sump fasteners and initially I thought the leak was worse. However I ran the engine more and the gasket seems to be better.
Has anyone used these crush proof Milodon gaskets on a Mopar engine?
Do the leaks stop or should I take off the sump before I put the engine back in?
Opinions or experiences please.
