OK, How the HELL are you supposed to get the plastic clip that keeps the window from catching the mirror cables into the hole near the top hinge???

If you remove the regulator, it would be easy.....REALLY?, remove the regulator to push in a f'n clip?

Is there a secret?

I LOVRE you guys...and I'll be having another beer!!!

magic :3gears:. ok now seriously folks.............in my arsenal of weapons i have these really cool long nose, needle nose, long handled gadgets that are bent in ways unimaginable . believe it or not they come in handy for just such an occasion......and a mirror helps too.,,,and light....need that.....and a few kind words dont hurt.......but mostly.....SEDATION....goooooooooooooood luck !:headbang:

After sleeping on it...I think what I might do, is bend up a coat hanger to fish it into the general area, through that hole for the plasit mount, pull it tight, and just leave the hanger in the door jamb area. Maybe a combo of hanger and tie wrap, leaving just the tie wrap.

Can you take out the regulator without messing with the glass?

:icon_hang:The best way that I have found to do this is to put the window all the way up , to get it out of the way . It helps to have a flourescent shop light , one that won't give you second degree burns . Jam it in the bottom of the door , out of your way . Sit on the garage floor so you can look up into the door . Use a small pair of needlenose pliers . And it helps if you are left handed , by the way !

What I ended up doing was to use a medium zip tie, loosely clipped, and pushed through the hole, with the big clip end still outside, and not able to fall through. Then I took a coat hanger, and fished the basket and joystick up through the loop of zip tie, removed the hanger, and turned the zip tie over. Then I pulled the basked back down, which caused the rest of the cable to now be oriented correctly (letting gravity help with some of the work). Then mounted the other plastic push through near where the basket goes, and then finally pulled the zip tie tight.

Whew.

Threading the grommet on the basket was a pain as well. Found a trick for that too, as I didn't have the spring retainer.
