Yes. I actually know Tom. Great guy. Has helped me lots in the past. Funny thing, I am actually a automotive painter by trade. I am going to get our supplier to colour match a 2k areosole of urethane paint. That's what I will use for the intake and valley pan. It's a one use thing which is the only crappy part. Still going to try and track down a can of the original MP stuff though. I like to have for quick touch up!
Yeah that border thing is messed up, the north is like Fort Knox the south is like a brothel with swinging doors. Good Luck
Like I said, when Jegg's saw the hoops they had to jump through to honor my order then immediately changed their listing to USA shipping only !! That said I also ordered T5 spray cans from the USA on Amazon.ca and they had no issues shipping right to the door. Their stuff seems to ignore all regulations, both for what it is and all the expense and brokerage is non existent..right to the door at what you bought it for. Two people have suggested the requested paint is quite possibly available right from a Chrysler dealer here in Ontario... all it takes is a call to the parts department to confirm.
That is my plan . Tried to call them today but was put on hold for 10mins then my work break was up..... probably try next week
I have a friend that I think bought the last 3 cans in western Canada. He told me it was discontinued. I haven’t checked with our local dealers. I will need to do my engine. How close is Eastwood’s? I don’t know.
Bill Hirsch stuff is awesome. I've been to his place here in New Jersey. If you can get it... Get it.
I have posted this before but the turquoise paint from Mancini is actually blue and doesn’t even come close to matching.
I've heard that the turquoise was discontinued until January 2022. So check with ma Mopar soon. Old part number p1287 52 a b
Just out of curiosity, how many cans did you use/coats? I bought two, but my engine builder seems to think I would need 3 or 4...he's probably right.
I bought a quart of the paint for the engine, as I was only top coating the area's I could get to with the engine in place. As far as the valve covers & oil pan, I'd say buy 3. I primered both and did 2 coats. You'd probably only need 2 but better to have a 3rd just in case.
Usually - in my experience - most of the turquoise paints shift color a little after a few months of running and heating. So results right out of the can may appear a little brighter than what they will eventually look like.
Not a very good picture but the only one I have on this PC. Best I remember this is Plasticote. Was done maybe 5 years ago . Going off pictures I located at the time it was dead on or at the very least close enough the owner was EXTREMLY happy with it The pictures dont do it justice. In person it does have a VERY slight green tint to it. and it did darken after a summer of driving
mancini has it, i think $9.99 a can, but they have to ship it ups , i bought argent silver and turquoise , both cans and shipping was $35(us)
