Mopar Engines in Non Mopar Automobiles

Im not sure if there is already a thread on this topic, i thought id share a car with you that i came across reading about the other day. Perhaps others can share cars they know running a mopar in them.

I always wanted to show up at a car show with either a 57 Chevy or 69 Camero powered by a Mopar V-8. Just to piss off the normal Chevy folk. If anyone told me that I really made a mistake by doing this, I would have said I couldn't afford a Mustang so I did what I could.

I used to love going to the drag strips on Saturday with my Ford and Chevy pals, and look at all the Mustang and Camaro funny cars... all of them with Chrysler Hemis under them.

There is a local Body Shop owner here in my area that has a 69 Z-28 powered by a Ford 351 Cleveland. The Cheby guys just lose their minds when he shows up at the car shows. I have some pix saved on one of these XD cards. I'll post when I find them.

Wow his car really is a cross bread mutt. That may actually be better than putting a Mopar engine in a Chevy.

Not all of the Fuel cars were Chrysler Hemi's some were Ford SOHC & DOHC Hemi's for a short time, many TA/FC & TA/D had Chemi's Chevy based Arias Hemi Engines & still do... Even an old Pontiac Hemi Mickey Thompson design, HEMI HEMI HEMI abound back in the day & still today... not exclusive to MaMopar's design a few to view here, Datsun Jag GTO Lambos etc. with Hemis

Guy I knew had a Stage 5 Hemi in his '71 Chevy C20, he loved blowing the doors off of Camaros & Chevelles then showing them what was under the hood.

I've been kicking around the idea of putting a cummins turbo diesel in the 75 Torino if I ever get to it "not really a bastard". It's always been a pet peeve of mine to see small block chevies in all the hotrods WTH.

me too, almost anything other than a SBC/Chevy is good with me, I know it's all about the oil pan fits much better with out modification etc. than a Ford will in a Model A or even model T "what ever" & easy to find parts yada yada yada, it's just been done to death, any Pontiac, Buick Nail Head, Olds, Chrysler Hemi, Caddy engine... is much more acceptable to me... I would like to see engine make, specific to body make, in rods too, but that is going to ever happen... I would especially like it to happen in the Top Fuel & F/C ranks, but too much time, $$$$ & effort has gone into the Chrysler "based" design, race only engines, like the AJ, BME, TFX, Milodon, Donovan, JP1's etc. for that to ever happen now, it would bring back allot of brand loyalty in Drag Racing thou

Not sure if they were Chrysler Hemi's or not the M/T Pontiac Hemi's, but both these have Hemi's... here's 2 others also a Javelin FC rear engine & a 71 Mustang FC Brand X with Chrysler Hemis
