Just for fun asked Carvana how much they would offer to purchase our '92 jeep 4.0 two wheel drive with 235,000 miles and still going strong. The response was that this year/model was basically out of their scope of interest and their offer of $300.00 was just silly.

I’ve had 2 92 XJ’s. First one bought brand new. Both almost 300K before they left.

Virtually indestructible engine. I'd love to have another, but in 4wd. 2wd is pretty useless around here.

What is Carvana, an online wholesaler ? I've seen, but not paid any attention, to their commercials. What do they do, give you an absurd lowball offer ?

Carvana is basically an online dealer, they will deliver the car to your house. I used them last week and they took my 1998 Toyota so maybe I just squeaked by for model year. They matched what the physical dealers offered in my case.

My best friend’s son is a sales dude at a Chevy dealership and he says that that the used Jeep market is poor.

Also, the local Dodge/Jeep dealer built an online network to sell Jeep parts all over the US and we’ve been told that the Jeep market is crashing, so much so that their accessory division is close to shutting down.
