My daughters heart

I have similar thoughts as said above. Get as much information as possible about the causes, urgency for treatment, and alternatives, and risks. Get diagnoses from other doctors. My prayers for your daughter, you, and your family. I understand it is worrying, but seeing the doctors is the right thing because they can help. What you can do is to double check what they propose because they are also human.

One last thing. Your first post implies this was not always the case. Knowing the cause can also make a difference. In addition to the suggestions above (and I am not saying my suggestion is the case) covid can be a cause of this condition. A good friend of mine had a similar heartrate following her bout with the virus. In the past year or so, her heartrate has slowly dropped. She has had other treatments along the way, but no surgery.

My 17 year old daughter had ablation done at U of M about 12 years ago now. Had an extra pathway that was causing problems. At the time she was very active in sports and was (is) in great physical shape. Every now and then her heart would just take off racing. She wore a monitor for a couple of weeks to help record the events for a better diagnosis. Had the ablation done without any issues and has been fine ever since. Best wishes for recovery!

Update
So my wife ( nurse) went with my daughter for a follow up yesterday to meet the MD and find out exactly why it was so urgent and to ask the questions my daughter may not have known to ask.
I thought this guy may have been just one of those "parts changer" type of MDs not unlike many mechanics. He is actually a cardiac specialist that deals in arrhythmia's. My wife said he had more awards, certifications & licenses than she had ever seen and after meeting with him felt very comfortable with him.
That being said I think there were some things that my daughter misunderstood. He wanted her to wear the monitor for 2 weeks so he can study her pattern and the procedure that he wants to do was not exactly an ablation ( I forget the exact term) but it was something exploratory....albation. This meant he was not going to do the ablation but use a type of scope in the same way an ablation procedure is performed. ( Thank God!)
She is stil scared, understandably so, and is a little upset with us as she thinks we are being dismissive of her condition and delaying her getting resolution...Being 19 and studying in a medical type field , of course she thinks she knows more than us what is best for her own health...
We had a long talk last night and we stressed that there is nothing further from the truth and that for 19 years we have wanted nothing but the best for her and to keep her safe...but being 19 I understand the conflict.
As far as what has changed in her life, that was the very first thing I looked at and other than her getting the vax about 6-8 month's ago, nothing has changed. I didnt want her to take it but she was required by the school to enter into the program.
She has been stressed trying to balance school with church obligations, but I dont think that has any real effect and is more of a way for her to vent to us about how hard it is doing two things....Wait until you have a job, bills , kids and a family of your own kiddo!!!! LOL!
With all that being said I think overall it was great news yesterday, the MD said he did not think it was life threatening and that he wants to make sure that the right diagnosis is made so that a proper plan can be developed . Again Meghann isnt all that happy and I think its due to the fear/unknown & just wanted to get it "taken care of" so she can feel better and focus on school.
My wife is trying to set up an appointment with another cardiologist we are are familiar with to get their opinion.
Again this in my opinion, was great news we got yesterday and Im not minimizing her condition or the need to address, but the simple fact knowing that she is not in immidiate life threatening danger from this is a relief that I contribute to all the prayers and well wishes.
Thank you all again for the continued prayers, concern and advice.
God bless!
