My Gen3 swap is complete!

No this is a 6.1 stroked to 426
I bought from a buddy who built it for someone that decided to do a Hellcat swap. I wanted to go with a carb just to keep the old school look I got EXTREMELY lucky getting it to fit under the hood with an air filter on it. There is zero clearance LOL

Beautiful car and nice build. I really like those valve covers. Who's motor mounts and headers did you use?

Headers are Holley Blackhearts (discontinued)☹️
Engine mounts are a hybrid made by the guy that helped me with the swap
They are solid mounts which are almost a must with these as rubber ones don’t last.

Yeah, that is crap that holley discontinued those. EPA fears I would imagine, which is crap if you ask me. But thank you. I am building a gen 3 426 stroker for my friend's 65 Coronet 500 vert and I'd just like to get him set up.

What cam is in this motor?
At the time years ago it was a custom grind by Steve Frank of Comp cam but FRP sells the same cam now i believe they call it the Trident
Buts my full engine specs are:
6.1 block stroked to 426 Molnar crank

4.050 stroke 6.125 and rods

Mahle pistons

Eagle heads ported

10.9.1 compression

Cam is 239/251 583/583. 112+2 centerline

Prefix intake and a Dominic Thumper 1000cfm carb

Msd ignition

yea and Holley discontinuing the header sucks . i have two sets and if i had known they were gonna discontinue them i would have bought 4 or 5 sets

Yea I would have definitely bought at least 3 sets myself! Tti is nice but don’t fit as well with stock k frame

Beautiful ride. Carb decision vs EFI: Climate, altitude, look? No choice in these parts. 850 Demon DNF in Reno.

Thank you
Went carb because I wanted an old school/new school look and I didn’t want to deal with all the extras that come with efi… sensors/tuning etc I know it’s more efficient and probably better performance. Had this one custom built for the engine 1000cfm
I have a wide band o2 on it so I can keep an eye on it.

Just a built 727 reverse MVB and the essential stuff with an ATI 4000 stall convertor.
I have a 6.4 in my 64 Belvedere its bone stock engine headers. I ended up using a 727 on this swap and its a freaking blast. I run a 3.90 gear and a Hughes 2300 to 2500 converter. Ive done like 5 swaps and have used 8 speed, 5 speed tkx and a 727 all were great. How is that 4k converter what power are you making. I was thinking of putting a cam in mine over the winter but around 4k ain't cheap. Tuning is half the cost lol. Would like to take to the track next season. My car weighs around 3300lbs so next to a 4200 challenger its hauls.
