Hey folks, hoping someone may have some thoughts on my mystery (to me and google anyway) leaf spring.

A little background, I bought this 68 Coronet from a guy who was building a drag car and ran out of money, so it was a bit of a "pig in a poke". Mini tub kit already installed with a narrowed truck dana 60. I pulled the leaf springs to see what I have, and found both were marked 80556PN. Looked up first number, P3412003 which appears to be (looking at Mancini website):

"3,000 - 3,200 lbs. 1968 Hemi Super Stock A-Body"

so far so good. Fully expected the other side to be P3412002, however this is what I found:

Googling P3421002, I don't get anything at all.

Is it possible it was stamped wrong? Only difference is the 2/1 swap in 3rd and 4th digits.

Hopefully someone with direct connection catalog, etc might be able to ID it if its real part number.

Thanks!

Count the leaves, measure front halve and back have for each leaf.
Do that for the other side spring. Those numbers don't ring a bell with me. I'll look at my DC catalogs.
The early springs, '70's & early '80's were really good quality.

Thanks for the help! Of course they are both 2.5" wide, 20" front and 35" back springs.

P3421002
1st leaf - 20 front 25.5 back
2nd leaf - 18 front 17 back
3rd leaf - 12 front 8 back
bottom - 6 front 2.5 back

P3412003
1st leaf - 19 front 31 back
2nd leaf - 13 front 23 back
3rd leaf - 7 front 16 back
bottom - 2.5 front 8.5 back

Here's a full picture of both

Did find this in an old mopar performance catalog. All the usual part numbers there, no mention of this mysterious P3421002.

Sorry that's not very legible, trying cropped version.

Sorry, I misread your numbers. Possibly mis-stamped. You don't seem to have enough leaves for that to be an early 002 - 003 Hemi SS spring.
Later model SS springs had fewer leaves, I think.

Based on what I know about the car, they were probably bought in 2005 - 2010 timeframe, and they've definitely never been on the road.

I'm going to assume that one is just mis-stamped. I really started digging in to it due to the lack of a snubber on that truck Dana. From what I've read sounds like these springs alone should do well with the roughly 500hp I'll be running. I may look into Caltracs and possibly a different spring down the road as I would prefer it to sit a little lower.

Thanks again for everyone's help! FBBO is a wonderful thing...

I quit using a snubber after my 1st year racing. I found the correct spring package and shocks do the job. When I bought my Satellite in 2013 took the snubber out right away.
Those springs may settle a little lower fairly quickly, or go to the local spring shop and have them de-arch the main and second leaf on each side a bit.

Thanks, I'll look in to who's local, didn't realize you could do that.
