Hello fellow MOPAR enthusiasts! Looking for a recommendation for a new fuel tank and sending unit for a 68 RR 383 car. Upgrading to 3/8 from 5/16 without the return 1/4” return. Plan is to cap off the 1/4” port with a fuel and oil resistant cap. New 3/8 to engine compartment line already installed. Also upgrading the pad to the thick rubber type for sound deadening. Curious about your thoughts on that too. Thanks!

Confused on why you want to terminate the return? Van's Auto, Mega Parts or Tanks for the tank. Some people have had good luck with senders from Van's, some don't. Replacement senders do not have a very good reputation. Tanks also offers a Mopar ohm range sender, I do not know if they work as advertised. Plus you are looking for a sender with a 3/8" pick up.

Does your OEM sender work properly? I would leave it in, maybe replace the pickup screen if you are having fuel starvation problems.
I put an aftermarket sender in my RR and it did not work right. I fished the old one out of the old tank and fixed it. There is a recent thread about this and why the new ones dont work.
