New World Record?

The Mexicans around here are really a good bunch of classic car fans. It was only parked outside my "compound" for about 15 seconds, when a brick mason working across the street, ran over with his cell phone camera taking shots of my classic car. How soon after you hit the road do your classic cars draw attention?

P.S. The photographer never asked what year/model it was.

Usually when I pull into the gas station before i even get a chance to go for a ride.

Anytime somebody comes to my house and the garage door is up.

And the first comment is always, " Uh...what is that?"

The gas station, they say what year and what is it.

The highest compliment that I ever received was from a lady who was about 70 years old. She saw my 68 GTX parked at the post office and she asked “Is that a new car? It’s beautiful!” I told her “No, it is a 1968.” She said “Wow. It sure is beautiful.”

I drove into the lot of my first car show and I had a 50 yo lady bow down with the worshipping gesture in front of my car and took shots as I was driving by. I thought to myself - this is going to be fun..... lol

1st month I moved in to current house in 1985. Teenager pulled in driveway; his dad& he restored Mopars, wanted to know if for sale.(nope)

Whenever I pull into a gas station, there is always someone that comes over and starts reminiscing about the car they or their brother or neighbor had. I just listen and smile, then I thank them and tell them to have a nice day when they're finished. It's all part of owning a classic car.
