If I just wanna replace the top part of the switch how do I separate it from the base

JUST IN CASE... the camcelling cam switch is available alone. Don't need to dissamble a full unit

Question I have is how do I remove the top cam from the base I know I have to slice the two wires but how does the top part separate from the bottom part

I installed the whole switch today and everything seems to be working fine just gotta put it back together just wanted to thank everyone again for all the help you guys are life savers

Well you still can try to fix the old one and keep it around. Is well known the replacement pieces are 50/50 of luck to keep working with the time... or not
