I have USCT subframe connectors on the way. Since my 70 Roadrunner is a real V-code car, I know it has torque boxes.
I think I know where the rear ones are, and I took pictures. I'd like someone who KNOWS what they look like to confirm that I have them, or am I looking in the wrong place?
    Rear: Are these torque boxes?
    20200626_113936.jpg
Also, did V-code and Hemi cars have front torque boxes-like where the ones USCT sells go?
Is this a factory front torque box?

Finally, has anyone added USCT frame boxes with or to replace factory torque boxes, and why or why didn't you replace them?
    THANKS

I don't see any torque boxes, so much for a real V code

      They somehow missed your car.
      OR....
They only came on Hemi and Convertible cars.
      I made my own:

Not so fast. V in the VIN, and all 3 stamping locations that I know of: radiator cradle, under the trunk seal on the driver's side of the trunk, fender tag, and the VIN. (Where else?? No build sheet)
Is it too much to ask for some help instead of "so much for a real V-code"?
Anyone? Anyone have pictures of what I should be looking for?

          Thanks KernDog!
I could have sworn V-code B-bodies got torque boxes...
          OK-What's the truth MOPAR gurus?
Do V-code 70 B-bodies have torque boxes from the factory?

Yep, that car doesn’t have torque boxes. If it were mine that would cause me to dig into the authenticity a bit further.. v code 4 speed should absolutely have torque boxes.

The red car got a shorter front torque box. The "Jigsaw" car front boxes went back to the torsion bar crossmember. I think that thr red car design is closest to the original style.

What is the fender tag code for 4 speed vs automatic? It's a track pack car, has the Dana 60 and 3.54s (in a box now because I put in 4.10s).
I seriously doubt that it's not a real V-code, but it's possible that it may have been converted to a 4 speed if that would explain a V-code with no torque boxes.
It does have the K-member skid plate:

I just made a statement, i guess sometimes the truth hurts,
If it makes you feel better i will tell you that i see torque boxes, but i think thats even less helpful.
What amazes me is with all your research and expertise, you have to ask somebody if you're car has boxes!

D21 is the code for 4 speed transmission.

                            Research, yes. Expertise? No.
The truth? It's a V-code with no torque boxes. Why would that be? Factory original auto transmission maybe?
Snarky replies when I'm asking for help? You got that on lock.

This is the best I can do for rear torque boxes. None of my 67's have front torque boxes. I think you find the front torque boxes on HP convertibles. 20200629_191909.jpg

Thanks KernDog. If I can find the fender tag codes I wrote down off my tag, I'll look. Otherwise I'll check it the next time I'm by my car.
A call to USCT is in order. Add the front and rear torque boxes to my car while the shop is welding in the subframe connectors, may as well add those too.

Original V code cars, auto or 4-speed all had torque boxes. 50 years is a long time. Many a body-transplant has been done. If you REALLY need to know, strip the paint or look for welds a few inches away from the body stamping locations. Someone doing this carefully will transplant those as well. When stripped you can tell. If you do this and it’s truly virgin steel with no grinding marks etc it’s an oddball. Most likely you’ll find marks in my experience.
