My 93 was originally a 3.9 it would get around 23 mpg on the highway.I bought a 93 Dakota sport new. 3.9 magnum, 5 speed.
I put about 145K on it, never any big repairs, and imo, just the right amount of electronic engine management to make it almost zero maintenance.
I sold it to a friends kid like 8 years ago, and I’m pretty sure it’s still going.
It was a 2wd short bed and my typical everyday driving fuel mileage was about 19-20.
It would do a bit better on a highway trip.
All in all, it was a very good vehicle.
I put a totally rebuilt 5.2 in it at 157,000.
I think it's around 210,000 now.
