Yep, that was the first thing I told him . He's got a Durango alt, I don't know if that will work with old style regulatormech reg needs also a good ground to work even still doesn't feed that field, just the regulated positive.

OK guys I tried all the input and you guys told me it came down to the to field wires which I didn’t know they were field wires on the alternator one goes to the regulator and one goes to ground soon as I grounded it they gave me 15 V I really appreciate your vice help
