*Loosely translated to mean "Cut the hell out of an original 69-1/2 road runner and sell all the parts at a yard sale." It was a jacked up mess. Still is in fact. But it's a different kind of mess now.

My 71 Charger R/T. Bought it in 78 when I was 16 years old, starting my senior year in high school. Bone stock, needed spark plug wires and the dual points of the distributor adjusted. Ran like crap when I bought it, wires and points fixed, ran like a top. 54,000 miles, HP 440 4bbl, Slap Stick auto, AC, power disc brakes. What a GREAT car to have at that age, in that era.

Great old photos...and you know what else is interesting on this thread? Going back to the start and seeing all the old user names of people who haven't been on here for years.

My '67 Coronet, me on the hood around '68 and now, getting it ready to drive again

My second car, 69 Charger RT SE, these pics were taken in 1976. I bought the Charger with a blown motor, so I got a 68 Roadrunner 383 Magnum, milled the heads .040, Edelbrock Torker, Crane Fireball cam, Holley 4 barrel from a junkyard off a wrecked 440 police car, factory dual point distributor from the same junkyard. It had a 4 speed and 4.10 posi.
