Today it closed at over six hundred dollars (I had no idea).

It was almost $750 in mid April before everyone had to sell stuff off to afford their taxes.
If you price items on rock auto, parts geek, etc. You can see how they are cash cows.
The business model is still solid as long as they deliver to garages that have a car stuck on the lift, and can't wait 3-5 days for parts by mail. As long as they don't get greedy like PEP Boys and mark the parts up 3 times before they hand it to you.
Twice is plenty.
They are also smart in that they will send a representative to your car show/event to pass out stuff. They also have learned the power of the you tube and it's "influencer's" to advertise to direct target, not national TV ad campaigns

As long as new and used vehicle prices are astronomical parts houses will do well.
A neighbor can't get his car into the transmission shop for a month. People are repairing cars now instead of trading in or selling.

A buddy bought $10K of ORLY in 1990. Through stock splits and other influences, his $10K is now over $1.27M. He's set.
