I am not sure why it is so hard to find a original 1967 B body gas cap?

They must be a expensive....... because if you don't see them for sale.

    Just curious...?

Yes, it's a '66. They are for sale from time to time - and pricey.

I have a correct 67 Belvedere, Satellite cap. It looks nothing like that. $75 plus the ride. I can get a picture in a little while.

Fran, not a 66 Satellite cap. The 66 Satellite cap is the same as the one I pictured.

Doesn't the 66 Satellite have a different trim package vs the 66 Belvedere II and does not utilize the belt line trim?

Yes but a Belvedere One has the same cap as a Satellite, Bel2 has trim on the side which incorporates the gas cap.
Jerry the cap in post#7 looks like the same cap as mine. I retrieved it from the original owner in 1982 just before I painted my car. There was a 67 GTX cap on it leaking gas down the quarter. cap.JPG

I have one that is missing the plymouth emblem.. I would let go cheap if you can find the emblem. If you can find the passenger side center piece you could use that one to fix the original cap. You can see it in this picture.

I watch ebay hoping a NOS 66 Satellite part come up at a price I'm willing to pay. Member Hacksaw was looking for a Bel2 gas cap so watched for him.

Cap in post #1 only goes on 1966 Belvedere II

The cap in post #7 goes on EVERY OTHER 66-67 Plymouth b-body, except 1967 GTX had the flip top gas cap.

                  The posts were getting confusing!

I'm still confused, I know what's correct, but sometimes I just can't seem to get it across. :)
