I've owned this car for going on 27 years now. Most of which has been sitting in my garage. I've messed with it from time to time, but let other hobbies get in the way. I've since pushed most of those to the side to finally bring this car back. This will be a mostly stock restoration, but not a nut and bolt.

The car is an original 383/727, but the original engine is long gone. I will be dropping a 440 block off at the machine shop this week for the bore and polish. I have/will be doing 99% of this work myself. I will only be hiring out for the machine work.

I do have a new package tray without the holes. I'm just using the old one to keep everything in line for now.

Wow, after 27 years that itch must have gotten unbearable! You're really getting after it! Out with the old, in with the new. Just keep up the progress.

Not sure on the orientation of the pictures, but everyone will just have to bare with me.
My dad bought me the car when I was a sophomore in high school back in 1998. I drove it to school until it spun a rod bearing. It pretty much got put on the back burner ever since.

are you using AMD quarters?....if so, I had to trim 1/8" off just behind the door opening to get a good fit, also, I see its a console car, can you show a pic of the routing of the console harness, please?...good luck with the project!!

a suggestion, keep the quarter pieces where the road runner emblems bolt through, its alot easier to duplicate them this way, than measuring....
That's something I haven't even thought about. Thanks. I am keeping the stock quarters for wall hangers.

Yes, all AMD. You sliced it from top to bottom to remove 1/8? Or did you cut it off and re-flange it? I have noticed the drivers side is a little long.
Id be happy to show you the routing, but I have it all rolled up right now to do the metal work, so I don't think it would help.

I dropped the block and crank off at the machine shop today. They have quite an extended lead-time right now, so I wanted to get my spot in line. I would like to get the majority of the body work completed before I start building the motor, so I dont have to work as much about getting grinding dust in it.
I'll add that i have always been a manual transmission guy, but I can't make myself hack the floor and crossmember up to put a T56 in it. I will just keep the fairly freshend 727 in it for now.
