Hi!

I'm wanting to install the oil cooling setup found on 70s and 80s police cars such as Gran Furys, Diplomats, Monacos etc etc.

I can probably piece together most of it from the parts store but what I do need is:

1. The special hollow fuel pump bolt for the oil return line

2. The valve found before the cooler itself that regulates when the oil is cooled

3. The hoses and hardlines, merely for reference, so I can have the proper inner diameter, without them I may screw up the oil pressure.

Hope one of you guys can hook me up

Thanks for looking!

Do you have any reference pics to show what this looks like? My Dad parted a couple out and there's a ton of stuff in the garage

Pics

Here are a few pics I found online of the setup.

1st one is where it plumbs in at the rear of the block for the oil.

2nd is the special fuel pump bolt that is hollow that where the oil returns

3rd is the cooler and thermostatic valve

Hope these help.

Hi Slowburn. I've seen a few of your posts...welcome to FBBO! Why not drop us a line in the newcomer's forum? Let us know what you've got...

This is a horrible pic but does it look like one of those oil coolers? I wasn't able to get to this as it's on a high shelf and there was too much heavy stuff in the way for me to move yesterday.

I have that set up and will send you some pics but it's complete but doesn't have the thing that appears to be an oil pressure sending unit and doesn't appear to be messed with.
