Post your 9 second or Faster combo's

My kids both ran a challenger in Jr Street, dialed in for 9-ohs, with a few 8.90s.
in this case it was actually 660 ft from the finish line.

Zero to the shitter in 5 seconds, even faster after eating at Taco Hell!!!!!!

My best quarter mile pass yet at 3950# despite a lot of 5.70 and 5.80 1/8 mile passes. Hopefully moving to the 8 second list this fall View attachment 1314697
Changed the boost ramp significantly and really cut the 1/8 mile times down. Should be an easy mid 8.

How about the unconventional rear-engine dragster? Jerry Fritz car with a 440 slapped on. 440 Source heads, about 605 on the dyno. 8.80 at 3k DA on race gas all day long.

Those are the same valve covers I have. They're fabricated aluminum, but the crinkle black finish hides the welds pretty well. I first saw them on a car or 2 out of thousands at Cruisin the Coast, and HAD to have a set. I found out they wouldn't fit with the factory iron exhaust manifolds, so I got headers (that I really needed/wanted anyway).

That looks like 8.7x with turbo power to me.

The NA calculators come up with 8.7s from that 1/8 mile time. This car back halfs like crazy. All previous runs were a 1.52 multiplier putting this at 8.45 ish. Need to get on a radial prepped 1/4 mile track to remove all doubt. There’s an 1/8 mile radial event in late October but that’s about it. Looking for 8.4xs at that one.

1.52 is stout. I use 1.575 to get close. On your 1/4 run it looks like 1.535. Of coarse that's not at your full potential. You definately pull harder up top. 31mph to my 28mph. In the back half. Thing is damn fast that's for sure.

Thanks. I’ve got the power department covered, now I need to get weight out. Unfortunately that can be expensive.

No mid 128 mph. But decent ET last weekend.

Just keeps getting faster.

Digging into this, I covered the back 600’ in 4.2 seconds so I’m guessing the 60’ was at least a 1.28 for a 5.48 pass. Previous best was the 5.56 posted earlier. Damn leaves!!

I subtracted your incremetals from the previous posted slip and this one. It was definatly making more up top
early slip; 60ft 1.3288, 60-330 2.2321, 330-594 1.5629, 594-660 .3500
new slip; 60ft 2.6799, 60-330 2.3100, 330-584 1.5442, 594-660 .3449

An example of MANUAL TRANSMISSION SUCCESS:
I watched a well known twin turbo "Drag & Drive" consistent winning 65 GTO (we have a built 65 GTO, so that's extra cool) that RUNS EIGHTS and has a manual transmission...
I'm only bringing this up because I am and always will (as long as both legs work) have a 3 pedal setup in my 70 Roadrunner, that I'm building the 572 RB stroker for.

I would love to run a stick. But to run something like that GTO takes very good, very expensive parts. Along with maintenance. Even my foot brake 9.0 car goes thru Dana pinion gears on a regular basis. I would bet $15,000 minimum from the engine on back.

Thanks Doug.
I will "see as I go", along with the advice and warnings issued.
I think my first "savings account" will be putting money aside for a G-Force or Jerico 5 speed, maybe have a chat with them, maybe talk with a couple of other transmission folks.
If the Passon 855 holds up, the "savings" won't go to waste.

I had followed this story. What a roller coaster ride. It'll be nice to get it back out.
