Just use a meter and find a wire that goes hot when the lights are turned on. Tap into that and you should be set. Asumming you have a decent ground to the cluster as well. The draw from a small gauge cluster shouldn't be that big of a deal.
EDIT: Sorry man I sort of misread your post.... The aforementioned suggestion is for your lights obviously for the cluster....For normal power...any line that goes hot with the ignition and you should be set there.
