A winter project for me is reupholstering the seats on my 64 Polara. It has the 6-way power front bench, and I’m wondering if have to remove the entire power mechanism to remove the front seat. From reading the FSM, that seems overly complicated and I’m sure any spares are crazy hard to find if I break something. Thanks

I didn't have to, but did to put in new carpet. Take pics or notes before you unplug the switch from the motor.

No need to remove but I would to re lube the cables inside the tubes.
Also the service manual has all the details on wires ,breakout etc...

ACC, Auto Custom Carpets.
Way longer and wider than stock, comes formed to fit floor.

I recommend looking at everything on their website, find what you want, then buy it via Summit - hundreds cheaper and free shipping.

I actually need to trim more by the driver's doorsill, but at least I was able to let it set in for a few months.
