I’ve got 2 power seats from an VW CC at the upholstery shop I should be getting back anytime. My question is for the guys that’s converted to power seats how did you wire them? Power source? Relays, fused? Just trying to figure out the best and safest way to do it.

Power seat in my '64 Polara gets its juice off the ammeter stud that also runs the clock. There is a 30 amp. relay in line.

Wire is 12 ga. Taking the power from the ammeter stud means this circuit is "hot" all the time. You can adjust your power seat without having to turn key on. Power tops on convertibles are wired this way, too.

Wire is 12 ga.
Thanks! Been trying to research this and it’s hard to find the info because I want to do it right. Some are saying tie it in to your existing fuse box, others say straight to the battery and fuse and others say use a relay like you’re doing.
